The reports claim the Spurs hierarchy wants to hold on to Kane ahead of next season unless the player’s suitors are ready to pay big money to sign him. Spurs officials don’t think Manchester United or Manchester City will pay over £100m for Kane considering his age (27).

Kane has been in excellent form for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this season. No one has more goals than the Englishman in the league this season. He is the joint top scorer in the Premier League this season with 17 goals. The Spurs striker has the same number of goals as Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah.

Manchester City and Manchester United are in the market for a new striker and Harry Kane figures heavily on their respective list of striker targets.

For Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund hitman ErlingHaaland is the main striker target though chief executive Ed Woodward is a big admirer of the aforementioned Kane.

Manchester City need a replacement for the outgoing Sergio Aguero ahead of next season and Kane is one of their targets. Argentine striker and club legend Aguero will leave Manchester City after a decade this summer at the end of his contract. Apart from Kane, Southampton star Danny Ings, Inter Milan hitman Romelu Lukaku and Haaland are some of the strikers on the list of transfer targets at the Etihad Stadium.
