NO UNITED ROTATION FOR VILLA

Interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has disclosed that he won’t be doing much rotation to his team ahead of the FA Cup third round tie with Aston Villa. A fourth round berth in the FA Cup is the incentive when Manchester United take on Villa at the Theatre of Dreams.

Rangnick talked about little or no rotation when he faced the media ahead of the Villa game. The German tactician said there would be no chance of giving fringe players the opportunity to stake a claim like he did for the Champions League clash with Swiss team Young Boys at Old Trafford in just his second game as the interim Manchester United boss. He said that little changes would be made to his normal Premier League team ahead of the Villa game.

YOUNG BOYS OUT OF EUROPE

Swiss champions Young Boys would no longer play in Europe this season after they finished last in Group F of this season’s Champions League with the 1-1 draw at the home of Premier League giants Manchester United.

Young Boys needed to beat the Red Devils at the Theatre of Dreams to have any chance of continuing their European football campaign this season. An away win for the Swiss champions would have kept them in the hunt for third place in their group and a place in the Europa League.
