The summer transfer window has been shut and clubs can no longer engage themselves in any transfer business until at least in January when the winter transfer window will be open. The summer transfer window was a big chance for clubs to sign their favored transfer targets as there was enough time for them to have all the negotiations they want to engage themselves in. Manchester United will reportedly return for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane years after they came close to signing him. United are long-term admirers of the France international defender and have chased him severally in the past but have not been able to take him to Old Trafford. But now, according to various reports coming from the news media outlets in Spain, the Old Trafford club want to make another attempt at signing him in the summer.

Varane’s current Real Madrid contract will run down at the end of the 2022 season and his future at Madrid continues to be up in the air. Also, Mundo Deportivo reported on Sunday that the French defender is a hot prospect and is a wanted man by some other clubs apart from United.
