NO UNITED ROTATION FOR VILLA

Interim Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has disclosed that he won’t be doing much rotation to his team ahead of the FA Cup third round tie with Aston Villa. A fourth round berth in the FA Cup is the incentive when Manchester United take on Villa at the Theatre of Dreams.

Rangnick talked about little or no rotation when he faced the media ahead of the Villa game. The German tactician said there would be no chance of giving fringe players the opportunity to stake a claim like he did for the Champions League clash with Swiss team Young Boys at Old Trafford in just his second game as the interim Manchester United boss. He said that little changes would be made to his normal Premier League team ahead of the Villa game.

German tactician Rangnick has a lot of work to do to get the best out of a Manchester United squad struggling to produce a complete performance under his watch. Manchester United have been unconvincing in the games played with him in the dugout though they have largely gotten results until the Wolves game on Monday.

Veteran Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho scoredwith eight minutes left on the clock to hand Wolves a memorable win at Old Trafford for the first time in the Premier League era. It was the first away win for Wolves over the Red Devils in over four decades.

The 1-0 home loss to Wolves ensured that Manchester United missed out on the chance to close the gap on Arsenal in fourth spot. They are four points adrift of the Gunners with a game in hand.

The Villa game in the FA Cup gives Manchester United the chance to bounce back from defeat to Wolves. Aston Villa have already beaten the Red Devils at Old Trafford in the league via a 1-0 win with centre back Kourtney Hause getting the only goal of the game.
